Neighbor called me to tell me his 2003 IQ cart would not charge. Thinking it may be his charger, I took mine over to see if it would work. But as always the first thing I do is check battery voltage. As I was walking over to it with a VOM. I asked how old the batteries were. He said he just bought them last year. He said he kept the water up with distilled water. Ok all good so far. I lift the seat up and to my surprise only 3 fill caps per battery. He had installed 6 brand new 6v batteries is a 48v IQ cart. I am surprised he got to use it at all last year. He said his wife at times had charged the batteries individually with an automotive charger, but they didn't last long. I am surprised the charger came on at all or if it ever did. What is minimum voltage for 48v charger to kick in?
