Jackshaft to cvt cart trans

Looking for advice and build pictures.

Thinking of putting a honda 450 twin into my cart with stock ezgo axle running large 30 inch car tires.
This will gear up the stock axle and give 5 speeds with reverse.
Not looking forward to having to use a clutch all the time.
Thinking about how to keep the cvt with the bike engine to have the best of both worlds.

Has anyone built a bike engine coupled to a jackshaft running the stock cart cvt?

To explain it better.
Bike engine with 22 tooth sprocket to a 10 tooth sprocket on a 1 inch jack shaft. This is to gear the shaft up to turn at close to the same speed as the crank when the bike is in 4th gear.
Also kicking around the idea of a solid shaft with the clutch on it coupled to the bike output with no chain. This would cost gearing loosing all gears only leaving 5th.
On the end of the shaft a 780 drive clutch Belt back to driven clutch on a stock cart axle.

My theory is to leave the engine in gear and use it just like a stock cart motor.
If you need more speed have the bike clutch and shifter that you can shift it up or down as needed but not necessary for everyday use.
I realize i will only really have 1 or 2 actual choices for gears that work.
1st and 2nd 3rd gear maybe even 4th would probably never be used do to way to low of gearing and just slipping the drive clutch.
Would hope to have 3rd as low 4th as same as regular cart and 5th haul butt.
