front shocks for 2005 EZGO Txt

so....i replaced the rear shocks on my 2005 ezgo the other day with the blue monroe's from O'Reiley's. They seem to work fine on the rear but didn't appear that they would fit on the front. were my eyes deceiving me or are the front shocks really different? if so, which model would you all recommend up front?
