Alltrax XTC & wet conditions

I understand that the Alltrax XTC controllers don't use the stock controller weather cover so they don't overheat. Does anyone have any experience with their XTC controllers in wet conditions?

I don't plan to forge any rivers or anything crazy, but if I get caught in the rain or splash through some puddles, would that be a problem?

I searched the Alltrax website and here and couldn't find any mention of water, but generally electronics + water = bad.
