how to bypass the charger?

If i want to use a club car powerdrive charger, on a precedent that has the obc bypassed, what exactly do i need to do to the charger to make it work?

Besides buying a whole new charger, ? I was told i can open the charger and splice 2 wires together, and then add a timer to it, ?

Can i use one of those old timers like the old ezgo textron chargers had on them??

I would appreciate the info on how to alter the charger to work?
