Steering wheel

I have a DCS...not sure if that makes a difference with this question.

I am wanting to loosen the steering wheel and realign it.

I can't figure out how to get the golf clip board off the center. I have seen where people say it snaps off. I have tried to the point where it seems like it's about to break.

There is a screw on the back side and on the other side this screw is missing...I took it out, but that did not seem to help.

Should I try to pry it off with a screw driver?
