I have a 2013 RXV that is new to me (couple days old). It has new Crown batteries. It is also lifted with 24" tires, freedom mode is not enabled (currently top end is 16 MPH).
As the title says it is stopping when going down long medium grade hills on roads in my neighborhood. It is not braking hard, it is acting like I completely let off the accelerator. Whether I keep the pedal floored or let off it completely it slows the same and when it stops completely I hear the mechanical brake click on. If I let up on the pedal completely while it is slowing and push the pedal again it will take off again without stopping completely. It will also take right back off if it stops all the way, the key is I have to completely lift off the accelerator and then re-engage it. On a long hill it will keep shutting down until I reach a flat road or and incline. On short hills it will not happen even though they may be steeper.
The fact that it only does it on long down hills makes me think something is overheating or overloading with the regenerative braking, but I am new to the RXV and it is just a guess. Again it seems to run perfectly on flat ground and climbs inclines like a champ with no issues.
Any input or advice would be appreciated!
