Hello, I'm new to the forum, Just picked up a 1987 Ezgo 2 stroke yetserday that I'm going to fix up and customize. I found a set of used 23x10.50/12 wheels and tires that a golf cart shop had posted on craigslist. When I called to ask about them I also asked if the had a gas cap on hand for my particular cart, when I did this the guy immediately told me not to lift my cart and put bigger wheels on because doing so would burn up the 2 stroke motor from the extra load.
Now I'm OK with not lifting it and just putting some nice wheels and tires on But I would rather lift it to be honest. was this guy right? am I going to damage my motor by going bigger? Has anybody Done a lift on the 2 strokes and had problems? Success?
Thanks in advance for any input
