Installed power port (cigarette lighter)

I noticed an original harley golf cart cigarette lighter kit on ebay for $99 out of Canada. I printed the page for installation and bought one locally at harbor freight for I believe $4. Instead of the cigarette lighter, I just installed a power port is it came with what appears to be a water proof plug as this is a hot port all the time. The hot wire installs to the "B" lead on the back of the ignition switch. The ground goes to the same ground as what the fuel gauge uses, which is connected to a bolt on the steering fork. The kit offered for sale was dated 1969 so for 1975 and later carts, I guess you just ground to a bolt on the steering fork as well as they don't have an electric fuel gauge. So now I can do a lot with this like charge cell phones, and since most USB ports have a power light, it works as panel lighting for night use, keep the GPS charged, plug in a voltmeter, outside air temp gauge, clock (yes, one item does all 3 of those functions), plug in a head light for night use and all kinds of things on can do with a power port. The placed I installed this above the fuel gauge is what was recommended by Harley with actual measurement directions on installing. They recommended drilling out the fiberglass undersized with a 1/2" drill bit and taking a round file to make it big enough for the port to fit.
