Are all DS steering columns the same?

I want a shorter steering column on my '94 DS. I've searched BGW and I'm comfortable with how to do the project safely. I want to use a steering column off a parts cart so that I can leave my current column in place until the shortened column is ready. My question is can I grab the steering column out of any year DS and be confident that it will fit in my cart?
