Here's my deal, I've been on here awhile looking at posts to see what to do and what not to do. So I've got a 90's model club car carryall turf 2. I've upgraded motors to a vanguard 23 hp motor. I've lifted it 6in with 26/12/12 dirt devils on it. New clutches new wider belt. Still has governor on motor(which I want to take off but not sure about tearing into motor to remove completely). Was out on it today and haven't tested to see how fast it was. Has lots of power and take off which I hate to give up. However the fastest I got it to go and a flat straight away was 20mph. I got that out of the electric one with the same tires and lift kit on it. So I guess my question is what next. I ordered the hi rev kit from ccp with the timing advance says a monkey can do it and I guess we will see lol. Take governor off and fix the inside which I'm not very confident doing with a new motor. Anything else besides changing the rear end gears to help with high end? I don't want to loose my low end torque because I used it for yard work(I've made it a dump bed). I guess I was expecting at least a 30mph golf cart after all the work was completed prior to rev kit install. Thanks for help or wisdom this site has been a big help to me just needing more guidance.
