I have an older 36V ezgo cart with a 1206-sx controller that wont run and has an electrical short. Ive checked the voltage across B- and M- which reads 36.8v with the key switched off. i turn the key to on and push the pedal until the solenoid clicks, and pushed it to the floor and theres no change in the voltage reading.
ive disconnected the wire from the M- and the short curcuit has gone. it arcs if i try and re-connect it even with the key switched off.
I had already changed the solenoid thinking it was that before finding that the was a short on the system.
Do you think this is the controller?
