I'm on to the next phase with my Briggs Vanguard twin. This motor has been great at camp this summer. I've gotten many compliments on the way it sounds and just flat out how it has performed. So far it has billet pushrods, billet retainers, double valve springs and a timing advance key. Right now it has enough power and speed but I've decided to take it one step further. I already did a 1 tooth advance on the stock cam. Next up is a 2 bbl swap and a whole new better flowing exhaust. Everything for the 2bbl swap showed up in the mail yesterday.
I have a few questions
Is there any advantages/disadvantages in turning the carb outward?
If I turn the carb in, will I have enough room to make an adjustment on the main jet?
What to do with the breather that went to the stock carb?
I'd really like to do a separate exhaust for each cylinder and each to have its own muffler. Thoughts?
