problem with reverse

1980 club car ds replaced 1 solenoid out of 5 that tested bad. replaced all 5 micro switches for the pedal assy. new set of batteries 4 weeks ago. going forward the cart runs fine seems like you can feel it go all the speeds as it should. but in reverse you have to press the pedal halfway down then bam it takes off at a fast speed. you need a neck brace.
