I'm swapping one motor in to another cart. The motor I'm using has a short wire that comes right from the center of the motor opisite the axle mount. This wire ends with a plug. It wasn't plugged into anything. This cart was wrecked and I never saw it drive. I was told it ran before the accident.
The motor I pulled from a running TXT PDS has a wire from the same place on the motor. It was a long wire that ran to the controller. I unplugged it from the circuit board. The plugs are not the same, although they both have three wires.
What is the purpose of this wire? After I unplugged the wire from the running cart, I tried the throttle and the wheels turned. (It was jacked up)
Is it important? Where it goes into the motor, it's sealed in rubber. I was wondering if it just pulls out. If it does, I could switch them. But I was scared to pull on it. Could I just leave it off?
