Please help me troubleshoot and find what fried on my 2008 electric RXV. Saturday morning I unplugged the charger cable (solid green light), turned the key to F and heard what was probably an electrical short. The battery meter was only reading 28v. I quickly turned it off. When I turn it back on I get no reading on the battery meter and hear nothing. When I plug the charger cable in, I get no response from the charging light.
The cart is mostly stock. I replaced the original batteries about a year ago with 6 8v batteries from Costco. I installed a MadJax lift kit and a MadJax voltage reducer that is powering front headlights. I also installed the digital battery meter that is only on when the key is in one of the on positions. The cart is stored inside the garage, but had gotten rained on the last day it was used, about 2 weeks ago.
The batteries are free of any corrosion. I have not yet looked at anything else. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.
