I am going to do a Predator 670 V-twin swap in my 92 club car. I have ordered a mounting plate and comet 780R and 1 3/16" belt from Vegas carts. I plan on getting the motor around Christmas and order the comet secondary clutch when I save a little more money. I will use the cart mainly for play around the house but I will also use it for some work. I have two boys who love football and I made half of a football field in the yard that I cut with a reel mower and keep lined off during the summer and during the season. I made a pull behind reel mower that is 8' wide that I pull with my mower and my golf cart. The stock motor in the cart will pull it but it is all its wants and I'm afraid its going to kill my hydrostatic transmission on my mower. I also help top dress the practice and game field at the high school every summer. They have a gator I use for pulling the top dresser (a bin you fill with sand that lays the sand out evenly) and a drag chain. I would like to be able to use my cart along with the gator to speed things up. I figured if the 13hp gator pulls the equipment with no problem the 22hp motor should be fine. I haven't found where anybody has done this swap in that style club car and any input would be helpful.
