Cam gear mounting to camshaft

Good evening,
I have a 2006 club car with an FE350. It quit running one day and after trouble shooting I realized the valves weren't moving. I pulled the engine and found the rivets snapped off holding the cam gear onto the camshaft. My concern is installing the cam gear back onto the camshaft in the correct clocking. I cannot see visual marks on the gear or cam plate. It's a clockwise rotation any help would be appreciated, I'd hate to bend the valves or crack the piston.
