Our 1982 Harley cart has a Spicer rear end model 820378-1. Spicer, of course lists it as "Obsolete", but I need some info.
1. There is a plastic (or rubber) diamond that says "Spicer", on the back of the housing. Is this a "pop off" or a threaded part? It's old and I don't want to destroy it but I need to check the fluid level.
2. What gear oil and how much is recommended for this little gem?
3. Is there even a drain hole on this diff? I do like to start with fresh fluids.
4. It appears that the housing on this diff is made of aluminum. How durable have they been?
Thx, in advance......
