hi, i'm new to this forum and am somewhat electrically compromised, but i am also somewhat mechanically inclined.
I purchased a 96 cc with a 48v series motor and a curtis 1204-410. i'm not lifting it or changing tire size. i am currently installing a curtis 1268 and a d&d es6551. i've got most of it hooked up, but am unsure about a few of the wires from the harnesses.
1. how do i know which is the key switch HOT?
2. what is the little cylinder under my dash? 1 wire (orange) goes to the fnr switch which is now removed. what do i do with it? the other wire (red) goes to the solenoid.
3. i've got 1 wire (brown) that is with my throttle wires. it comes off of the 26 pin connector at #6 or 7. where is it supposed to go?
4. do i need to put an inline fuse for my new volt meter, and if so what size?
any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated. I would ask the guy that did my harnesses and programming, but he is out for the weekend, and i would like to get this up and running today. otherwise if i need to i will just wait until monday.
