Hello,
New here. I've been looking for a 4 seat golf cart to use as a pit vehicle at the racetrack. I came across a 2000 G19E today for $300. It's in very good shape with nothing visibly wrong with it, but the seller believes the batteries to all be junk. The seller has not actually used the cart, so the history is basically unknown. I'm told the charger is available. Are there any "gotchas" or things that I should specifically be looking at on this golf cart? Do you think this is a good buy assuming it needs batteries?
I did a fair bit of searching on the 'net for batteries and the best price I found was $129 each. This makes this cart a fair bit less appealing to me, but I'm hoping I can salvage a couple of the batteries (maybe all of them?) to save a few bucks. Are there any favorite forum vendors that might sell batteries cheaper?
I know nothing about these machines beyond what I've read in the owner's manual so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
