My cousin gave me his old golf cart from his boss since it stopped running. It's a 1990 2 stroke 3pg I believe. After tracing from the solenoid back I found there was no spark I installed a cheapo 12v tractor ignition coil and it fired right up. After cleaning the carb the cart runs fine. But I noticed he was using either 40:1 or 50:1 two stroke mix. The same can he was using in his weed Wacker and blower for god knows how long. I drained the tank and ran 80:1 for now... is this okay? The cart smoked a lot for awhile now it seems fine.
I've believe I located the governor but I'm not sure how to adjust or even bypass it. Would that just involve running the throttle directly to the carb? I've seen a few write ups but mine doesn't look as simular to them. Also I have no idea with the belt is oem. This cart is a dog on hills. What would be a recommended shorter belt for this cart? If anyone needs any more info let me know.
