Hi - I replaced my batteries and took pictures of the wiring before buying new cables. I put in the batteries and now the lights, horn, turn signals and brake lights do not work. Any ideas where I went wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Melted cables on motor
Recently purchased 1996 EZ-Go TXT died. We smelled something burning and then it wouldnt move. After inspection I found the cable to the motor completely melted. What would cause this (My first golf cart)? How to repair? I looked at the F&R switch and although old it looks ok.

Batteries?? 7 6v vs 4 12v vs 6 8v
I have a feeling I already know the answer to this question but, I have 7 6v batts that are a hair over 2 years old and in great shape (36v PDS upgraded to 42v ((xct48500 and admiral motb2)). My local shop is selling a set of 4 USED US 12v batteries that are 2017s for $400. I was considering going up to 48v eventually but dont have the $$ for new batteries. Any estimates on what increases/decreases I'll see from doing the 7 6v to 4 12v swap? I'm assuming I'll get greater speed/torque but lower run times.
I think new, these batteries are $760 from the same place with cores..I have 4 12v toasted cores I can exchange with.
I like the idea of 4 12v over 7 6v (saves over 100lbs)
But I also like the idea of the extra run time with extra battery mass.
I know the best bet would be 6 8v but I'm just considering all options.
Most of my riding is loaded with 4-500lbs of ppl, kids, and dogs on paved roads wit the occasional hard gravel/grass/sand/hard gravel.
Cart is slightly lifted (3" spindle with 20x10-12 A/T tires)

tire chains
good morning,,,,
i did some searching on carts with tire chains, not to much out there on this subject. I've got a bone stock g2 and a bone stock g14. I'm in a hilly area and the roads get the hard packed snow / ice and i need either chains or some tire studs.
all i have gathered is i may need spacers to clear the inner fender wells.
anyone have any experience in this department?
thanks

For Sale: NAPA 94066 Shocks.
These shocks will fit a lifted Club Car Precedent with a 6" Allsport A-Arm Lift. Don't know but they may fit others. They are brand new but the hardware bags are open. They were installed and made one trip to the grocery store. The reason I'm selling them is because I got the wrong size. I should have got ones for a 4" lift. Price is $30.00 for both with free shipping in the US. PM me if interested.

51.1v after 5 weeks setting in the garage
I am wandering if there is something wrong with the gauge. Yes it is a heated garage I keep the thermostat at 50 degrees but my batterys are connected. I would think it would drop down further than that. Does this seem right.

RXV just stops and loses power
2016 RXV 48 volt
The cart has recently started just "dying" while driving. We'll be riding and the cart will lose all power and skid to a stop. Also started recently, when the key is turned on, there's none of the sounds you normally here when the motor brake disengages. Since I'm new to the golf cart community, I have no idea where to begin to troubleshoot. Any help would be appreciated.

US2200 vs. Trojan 105's
Needing new batteries for the golf cart. Only used on the golf course about two times per week most of the time. I can get US2200's for $99.95 per battery, or Trojan T105's for $109.95. The US2200's have a little better specs, but I know Trojans are good. Currently have US2200's that have lasted 5 1/2 years, but they are starting to barely make it 18 holes now.
Which would you choose? Thanks in advance.

Precedent AllSports Lift Install Complete, Alignment tips?
I finished my weekend project. Put a 4" Allsports lift kit on our '16 Prececent. with 20.5" tires, I think it may have been a bit much. I was on the fence between the 3" and 4" and it turned out higher than I expected. Oh well maybe it will settle down? All was good until I got to the rear. My two complaints were that the spring U-Bolts were 2" too long (which made for a lot of wrenching), and I was really scratching my head at the way Allsports sandwiches the factory brake cable plate between the axle and their flat plate. The factory cable plate has a lip on it, so it doesn't sit nice in the "sandwich." I ended up stacking washers on either side of the factory cable plate to make it work. Is this normal -Seems like a very poor oversight to an otherwise nice kit? They included 8 washers in the kit, but there was no mention where to use them.
Also, any tips for adjusting the camber and toe on this kit? There was nothing in the instructions on that either. The joints at the top/bottom of the A Arms were installed all the way in (From the factory). I guess I will be taking the wheel off and un-screwing them a little so I can get some adjustment there.

Alibaba Lithium for a Navitas 72V AC System
I currently have a fuel injected Precedent with the governor set at 32 mph. (just below the rev limiter with 23” tires). Love the cart, but am tired of the noise associated with the gas engine. So have purchased an older electric Precedent that I am building with the new Navitas 600A AC controller and motor. (That way I can keep the performance, all my goodies, and Curtis enclosure)
I have been in contact with several lithium battery manufacturers in China through Alibaba and have tentatively decided on the attached pack.
There is so much knowledge on this site (and I have little to no experience with lithium batteries) so I decided to ask for some input....
The following is the battery spec as quoted, and they are including a matching charger, gauge, and DC to DC converter.
They confirmed through separate email that it will support 300-400 amps for 30 seconds....and greater than 2,000 cycles....
1. Model
IFR100mAh-23S1P
2. Standard capacity(0.5C)
Typical:100.0Ah
Min:100.0Ah
3. Rated voltage

Robin's timing cover colors
Hi,
Is there a standard of timing belt colors for these twin cylinder Robin's engines ? So far, I've got a 2006 TXT daily driver with a grey cover that says 295 on it. Also a 2002 Workhorse with a black cover and has 352 on it. Then come home with a 2007 Refresher that has a grey cover and no label....so.....without taking the head off to measure bore and stroke...
I still see engines and parts for sale with a grey cover and has 350 on it....
The Refresher has a curtis cab and mesh doors on it for sale if anyone is interested.
Also understand that motors and parts get swapped all the time...just wondering if there's anything else I can look for.
Thanks.
