Keep snapping axle shafts - custom lifted- any ideas?

I keep snapping axles and need help.

I have a custom built 4 seater golf cart with 12 inch travel air shocks in front and back. It has a rear axle out of a mid 1980s columbia par car. With bolt in axle shafts. The pumpkin is offset. So the driver side axle shaft is longer than the passenger side. The passenger side (shorter axle shaft) keeps breaking out by the outer bearing. See spot every time. It's a twist break. The axle is too small for the 14inch wheels and big dune tires that I have on it. Also it still has drum breaks in it and it also has a snowmobile gearbox on it and snowmobile breaking system. There is all kinds of reasons of why the axle keeps breaking... Bottom line is I need to find someone to machine me custom oversized axle shafts or find a whole rear end that is the right width to put under it.

Any ideas?

2009 club cart with Alltrax xct 300 controller throttle issue

We recently purchased an Alltrax controller and a new Admiral mot-02 controller for my 2009 club cart. The big issue we are having is the throttle calibration seems to be off. After pushing in the pedal around 10-20% I am at max throttle according to the the monitor on the Alltrax tool-kit. I will attach a screenshot of the lowest throttle reading I could get by barely pressing in the pedal. Any help would be appreciated.

Battery tray has two large Torx head bolts holding the front down on my EZGO TXT. Came out easy enough, but I want to replace. Anyone know where I can find these? Local ACE has Nothing and can't find online.

New forward reverse switch tight

Replaced the FNR switch in a 96 txt. Take a bit of work to move lever into forward or reverse. Thinking this could just be that it's new and it will "break in" but thought it would be worth asking if there's a better fix.

ezgo motor whining - rebuild?

I have a pretty loud electric cart, lot of whining. Pulled that motor and axel out. Rebuilt axel with new bearings and seals and can turn the input shaft with two finger and it's very smooth (got the instructions by following the instructions provided in the sticky here, and thank you, very awesome). Put it all back together and still get a lot of noise, so assuming it's all from the motor. Can the bearing in a 96 txt motor be replaced, or not worth the trouble? Also a slight "tick" when it runs, so thinking the bearing in the motor are roasted, or close.

48 Volt Upgrade Steps

Currently have a Medalist 36V DCS. Thinking of making the switch to 48V, but wondering what is needed. Besides the obvious battery change, anyone have a list of the needed changes? I have already done a motor upgrade with PlumQuick and have a 400 Amp XCT controller and upgraded solenoid. I am hoping the controller can run with both 36 and 48...

Cart dies going up hill

My mid 90's EzGo cart will not go up hills of any vertical change. Batteries have been tested with no problems noted. On level ground cart seems fine. When trying to go uphill, cart will slow and come to a stop with pedal on floor. If you release pedal and then just barely push it, you can get cart to slowly go up the hill. You have to modulate the accelerator pedal with the best movement occurring with the pedal barely pushed. Once the cart is on level ground, the cart acts normal again. Thanks for your help!!

12V reducer, Fuse Box and Bus Bar?

$

Ok...cart is stripped so now is the best time to install these items. I'll have individual headlights and stereo head unit (no amp just yet) that will be running through the 12v reducer. I have the instructions from cartsunlimited, but wanted to see if anyone has installed these and maybe have already posted a step by step tutorial so to speak?

Couple of questions off the top of my head:

1. Where is the best place to mount each item? Diffuser says that it needs to be against metal for cooling purposes, so have some ideas.

2. Little confused on the routing of the radio and lights. I'm assuming that the 12V from both runs through the fuse box (each on their own fuse), then the lights to the light switch and radio running through the accessory on the ignition, with the grounds running through the bus bar then to the battery negative?

Chances are I'm off base on routing this. The instructions don't have the bus bar factored in. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Finally got around to flipping my backing plates on my DS this afternoon, and installing two U-bolts on each side instead of one, in the process I discovered my upper spring shackle bushings are shot,,,, I'm guessing they are the same as the leaf spring bushings ? Does anyone know for sure ? I can't find a listing that specifies they are the same ,,,,

Speed Magnet Proof

Hey BGW fanatics,

I'll keep this short and sweet. 2008 Club Car Precedent, 5HP AMD aftermarket speed motor. I put the 4 pole speed magnet from TahoeDave in my cart. The following photos are:

1. Up small incline in he neighborhood, maybe 8 degrees (blue ridge living👍👍😁)

2. Flat (as possible) ground.

3. ~20 degree downhill slope.

If you're thinking about getting one, do it. Pull the trigger. My wheels are 10" but tire height same as stock...

Main seal leaking/292 cc Kaw/1997 C Car

The main seal on my CC was damaged when the fuel pump failed and diluted the oil with gas(back thru the vacuum tube). After I discovered this-it was too late and the seal was leaking-badly.
My plan is to put 3oz of Motorkote All Seal in the crankcase.
At this point I really don't have much to lose but I'm certainly open to suggestions.
Also-with 130 psi of compression,I really don't want to pull the engine and replace the seal.
I'm open to all advice.Thanks!!

From what I gathered for a stock suspension setup, here is what I need to replace the bushings:
(3) 9.9176
(1) 9.13103
(4) 9.8126

However, I can't find nuts, washers, and bolts outside of buying bushing sets from Amazon. Can anyone hook a brother up?

Golf cart sat, quit working

Hello! I have just gotten a used golf cart off a neighbor, he had it working in the fall, left it sit over the winter, and in the spring it does not run. It is a simple cart, nothing fancy. There are 6 of these 6 volt batteries, he says they are relatively new. I am a small engine man myself, gas engines, so this is all new to me. I have no idea what year or model # it is, if it will help i can look a little harder for it. I cleaned all the battery connections, and the power connections on the motor. I hooked a charger (6v) to each battery, with each one disconnected. They all pulled at the lowest amperage (don't know how to describe it better) my charger has an old gauge that goes from 2 amp to 10 amp, they stayed at 2 amp. Any help is appreciated, if i get it to work i will post it here. Thanks!

2004 club golf cart key switch question? Can I wire both wires to one lug on key swit

$

I have a club cart ds I am troubleshooting with fully charged batteries. The reverse buzzer goes off.. I can hear clicking when I go to forward from neutral. But I did notice both wires on the key switch are on one lug.. Just wondering if this could still work like this or if this may have been a potential problem from previous owner. Cart does not attempt to move forward or reverse. Keyswitch has two lugs which are numbered "1" and numbered "2"

Also Ive seen some carts that have no key and the slot is left in the on position.. Is this just a matter of stripping the key out of the slot or is the keyswitch actually bypassed when this is done?

I have a 1998 series ezgo cart 36V. Few weeks ago the reverse stopped working. Yesterday, the forward also stopped working. The solenoid is clicking when I press the pedal. From reading some post it sounds like the high side of thr circuit. Where should I start? Thanks in advance.
