I need help trying to figure out how to hook up the charging on my predator 420. It has a single wire and when i check it with a meter its reads it as a ground with the engine off and with it running it doesnt read as a ground. I tried hooking to the battery but it sparks so I didnt do it. I know the wire is coming from the charging coil but have no idea what to do to hook it up to charge my battery. I have this 420 on a carter talon and have already ran wires to use the electric start. Im not using the switch that came with it. Everything is hooked up correctly and works fine besides the charging side. I have no idea what to do. Picture should be attached.

Mid 80's marathon upgraded with Alltrax SR48300 controller. HD solenoid new cables. Works great in forward but reverse not so much. If I am on a slight incline it will send enough voltage to get going in reverse. Switched cables at F&R switch. same issue. I get a low voltage error code on the controller. Solenoid engages as it should. Batteries at full charge.
Thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bruce

I have a 2006 Precedent, with a 6 Steeleng double A-arm lift kit. The front leaf spring is a two leaf setup, short, and very stiff. I will be disconnecting/ removing the front leaf springs, then replacing the existing front shocks with 400 lb coilover shocks, using the existing mountings. Any comments on the outcome? Shocks will be here in a week. Thankyou for any input.

I have a 2011 RXV with a 2017 Curtis controller that has an intermittent issue when letting off the accelerator. I'll drive the golf cart around the neighborhood and when letting off the accel. pedal, I feel the cart slow itself down to a stop. When I step on the accel. pedal again, it doesn't move. I can hear the solenoid kick on when stepping on the pedal and off after releasing the pedal. I can get moving again by one of two methods 1) stepping on the brake then accel pedal or 2) turning the key to off then back to forward.
This is puzzling to me and I thought it was the accel. position sensor or pedal switch so I replaced them both. Issue still occurs so I'm thinking it has to do with the regenerative braking system on the RXV. Any ideas what to do next? I don't have a hand held or any way to read the codes unless I take it to the repair shop.

Hi everyone new to the forum and hoping i can get a few answers for my questions. Thanks in advance.
We inherited a 94 ezgo marathon after installing new batteries and charging we were off on our maiden voyage. Well it was a short voyage as there was a sudden thump and the bottom of the controller blew off.
My question is what should i check before replacing controller?
And can i replace the controller with an upgraded model without upgrading anything else?
Sorry guys im new to owning a cart and not sure how to proceed.

I have a 2002 PDS thats running slowly and I keep getting the 3-2 code for a welded solenoid. I've changed it out 3 times now with brand new solenoids and each time it will run fine for a few minutes after changing but then goes back to being slow and throwing the code. Could this be an FET issue or other issue inside the controller? Trying to eliminate everything before I pull it and ship it off. Any info would be appreciated :help::help:

I am working on a 2014 exgo rxv freedom with the 1206ac5201 controller
with the scanner i'm getting a encoder fault code that is current an will not clear.
I can with the scanner water the rpm through the encoder sensor and it climbs
when spinning the rear wheels.
with the code and everything plugged in with key in forward the brake will not
release there for I have no movement forward or reverse.
i have replaced the encoder sensor with two new sensors and same fault code
replaced the solenoid-throttle pedal assembly with sensor from running cart-same issue
it's a making me crazy haha:help:
any help would be fantastic thanks in advance

I have a 2016 Precedent and the throttle goes to 100% and then cuts out as you keep pressing it. I have a Alltrax controller and a PlumQuick motor installed. I replaced the MCOR with a new one and it does the exact same thing. Any ideas?
This model precedent have a integrated MCOR/Peddle assembly does anyone know if there is a stop adjustment on these?
Thanks
Bill

Noticed my brake lights (Onward) sometimes don't come on unless I press the brake hard - which usually doesn't occur while driving.
Sometimes however the lights come on with very light pressure.
Where is the switch that is actuating the light circuit?
Maybe the contacts are dirty? Switch itself is physically loose?
Any help would be appreciated, as I think I've been driving around generally with no brake lights as a result.

I have a fleet of rental carts and 4 of my Precedents make a high pitch squeal at top speed. You can hear it slowly begin around medium speed and by top speed it has become constant. It's driving me crazy more than anything else. Carts drive great but the sound is maddening. I replaced an axle bearing a couple years ago and now it's doing it again, along with 3 others.... Any chance there's a place I can add some oil or grease to make it stop?

I'm working on a 14 FI Drive with 235 hours on it, the previous owner had the breather tube from the valve cover extended and re-routed to the rear. I put it back to stock and now it pumps WAY to much oil in to the airbox, enough to bog the engine and blow tons of smoke. Has anyone ran in to this? I'm thinking the oil ring in gone but it runs great as long and the tube is not going to the airbox.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I been working on a custom lift for my 98 ezgo. Because I have my own shop, equipment and tool I figured I can prob build one cheap then I could buy one. The main issue in facing is finding the measurements for the front a-arm subframe. I am building it as close to the RHOX 6-7" lifr kit. So if anyone has side view pictures and or measure ments (how far the bottom most part of the assembly goes in conjunction to cart frame amd such) and can share it would be greatly appreciated

I am making a new thread and attaching the wiring diagrams for most western cart models. I have been responding individually to requests as I have noticed quite a few requests lately from new owners trying to resurrect a western but I figure this thread will make it easy to search for since most if not all are built on Ezgo frames. Diagrams for each model are on the last few pages of the attached owners manual labeled by model 100, 300, 400, Elegante, and Elegante Limo
Mods: Perhaps this could be made a sticky??

How do you determine which terminal is the A terminal on the f&r switch on an ezgo txt series kart with the switch installed i.e. drivers side, passenger side, top or bottom?

I have my car at a weekend home and lately when I get down there, the battery light is flashing. We always leave it plugged in when leaving and make sure it's got good water before leaving.
I just read through some posts trying to understand what might be the issue, and one thing I will do is reset the OBC to recalibrate. I'll also bring my multimeter disk to test all battery voltages and pack voltage. Any other ideas?
We bought it used, and didn't get new batteries since everything looked in great shape (and it has a battery watering system) so assume it was well maintained. Also, being 2015 it uses the ERIC charger.
Thanks in advance for any tips before I head back down this Friday.

I'm just curious if the rear springs in other member's Onward carts (mine is a 2018 ) with factory lift are essentially horizontal with no load in the cart? There is no bow in mine.
They are also single leaf - seems like often times 4 passenger carts have multi-leaf springs.
Not sure of the terminology, but the rubber frame "snubbers" on top of the axle are only about 1/2" from touching the frame when there is no load in the cart.
Cart sits level and all suspension is factory, but just wanted to confirm this is typical Club Car setup for this model.
Thanks!
