2009 Tomberlin has no power

$

We've been working on a 2009 Tomberlin it has no power. The controller is flashing a 12 code and our programmer shows a throttle fault and it doesn't seem to be turning on the foot pedal switch. We have installed a new foot pedal switch didn't change anything. We have checked all the fuses that we can see. We also tried hooking the red charge wire to the main positive still didn't change anything. Looking for any ideas

Thanks

Custom paint, flipped the front leaf and modified A arms with heims so they are adjustable, simple block drop in the back, total drop is 4 in the front and 3 in the back, clears 14's. I'm still thinking about going an inch lower in the rear...

Onward / Precedent brakes barely dragging - Adjustment?

So I'm new to tearing into brakes, but realized my brakes (Onward lifted) - mostly passenger side - are dragging a little.

If I pull the lever on that brake back by hand, it doesn't drag and spins nicely. But when you use the brakes, the lever doesn't return to that position - but almost.

It's like the springs inside the brake aren't strong enough to put the lever back at the rest position (or the cable needs lubing - cart is pretty new and has hardly any use though).

I loosened the linkage (under the floor) a tiny bit, but any more and it will be too loose, and it doesn't solve the issue anyway.

It drags mainly in one part of the tire rotation, and it is pretty slight (but loosening the linkage helped it somewhat, but not 100%).

Driver's side wheel is pretty good, but may have a tinge of the same issue.

Do I need to remove the wheel? With the wheel off, how does the drum come off to get into the brake and adjust / align whatever is going on in there?

Maybe the little drag isn't causing any issues and I should leave it alone, but I can hear it (which is why I put it up on jack stands and tested it) scraping when I go slow.

Thanks for any simple, dummy approved instructions or advice.

EZGO fuel pump issue

Not getting gas through the fuel filter. Any suggestions where to start
troubleshooting. The cart starts but doesn't have any power. Is it obvious that it's the tank tube not drawing fuel into the fuel filter? Just replaced the fuel filter, and still not drawing fuel up. Any suggestions for the next troubleshooting steps. Thanks

Wiring diagram for Columbia and Harley two stroke

I got one to straighten out where somebody tried to rewire it so the F. R. Switch to work through the key. The guy on another site said he had problems with the starter shorting out in forward when he used the standard diagram. He said he found one on here that he used and it worked fine. Is there anybody that is familiar with this wiring thing or has a diagram

I have CC precedent. Not sure the year but its the 4 battery 48 volt kind. 3 years ago I replaced the batteries now i'm having to do it again. Evidently the way the lights were wired it was just sucking off one battery. They are putting a converter or something on it this time to draw power from all the batteries. My question is should I sink the money into this cart or buy a new one. I'd hate for this to happen again in three years but i guess if its fixed right it should last for awhile. I've heard of runtime issues with the 4 battery CC's but this guy said its basically negligible for what I'm using it for which is tooling around the neighborhood. Thanks for any opinions in advance?

Does anyone make steering rebuild kits?

2014 TXT Play In Spindles - Am I missing a washer?

$

Hey guys,

I installed some new drop spindles and noticed a space and lots of play between the top of the spindle and the spindle bracket. It looks like a washer is missing since the kingpin is slightly longer than the spindle.

I've seen video where there is a washer in between the top of the spindle and the spindle bracket, around the kingpin. Since I'm missing this, the spindles are rattling up and down.

I ordered what I thought was the correct washer, #36 on the IPL screenshot, but it's too big. 70754G01 is listed as a 1" SS Thrust washer.

Anyone know what I need?

Thanks.

Battery Pack Question??

I have a 36V EZGO TXT that recently has begun to not keep a charge very long. I checked the voltage on all six batteries, and the first two (next to the controller) gauged 4.3 and 5.1. All others show between 6.1 and 6.4.

Should the two batteries be replaced? They both have water. Have not done a load test.

Thanks for any input or advice!

Eagle wont start

New to Site.
I recently picked up a gas Columbia Eagle that does not run.
It appears to have been a used in the past as a security cart at a church.
Found this number front passenger side 9E-35052-E5.

Looks like it stopped running and got parked. Still had fuel, no key but ignition left in the on position. I put a new battery in, lights and horn works but I cannot get it to turn over when I depress the throttle.

Should I started checking the throttle micro switch and or tracing power from where to where? I have a test light and a ohmmeter, still learning with the meter.

1993 Columbia Club Car no power

I have a 93 par car that I took in for new batteries and the guy switched the 6 6v batteries to (3) 12v batteries claiming 36v was 36v. It ran for about 10 minutes then stopped and had never run again... I took it back to him and he claims that this piece is not working (photos)

Can anyone tell me where to even start with this? I’m assuming, and being told that he was totally wrong putting the 12v in there and I don’t have any Par Car dealer within 200 miles of me. Any help would be appreciated

1989 gxi-800

Hello, I am a new member I am fixing up a 1989 GXI-800 which really caught my eye I find it a very interesting cart but needs a lot of work the engine and drive train lot good but otherwise, it needs a lot of maintenance Ive spent hours just power washing and cleaning it so far.
it is lifted and they added a winch with a incredible amount of beefing up I have no idea what they intended to winch but it must have been a monster.
Its been lifted and has 22-8 tires that need replacing asap and I have ordered new brake shoes they were rotted away.

I have a 89 to 1991 parts manual and it seems to have everything but the body and suspension parts Ive not seen a manual for this model and I dont know what makes it a GXI since just about all the carts you see are the GXT
Looking for any advice!
Thanks
Steve

Ezgo pre-mci 295

Parting out an ezgo 295. Pulled from a 98 txt. Was told it ran,but smoked. Engine was already pulled when I bought the cart so I cant verify, but I can say with certainty I dont think there was a seal or gasket still holding oil in :lhmo: it is disassembled now, I wanted to make sure there were no broken rods or anything. It did have compression when turning over by hand.

Head looks good, but will need intake valves. Camshaft and everything look good. Engine was surprisingly clean inside. Crankshaft will need to be drilled out and re-tapped or replaced. Previous owner tried a DIY clutch puller and its mushroomed inside the end of the crank pretty good. There is a little cut from where I cut the clutch off on the tapered end but I dont think that would really hurt anything. Otherwise the crank itself looks okay. Cylinders look great, no ridge no scoring.

Overall lots of good parts or a rebuildable motor, the only issue I see is the crank and intake valves.

I also have all the electronics (ignitor, etc) carb, etc.

Make offer for parts or everything, selling to fund a big block in this one. Theres just too much wrong or missing, so cost prohibitive to rebuild to stock (muffler is cut, airbox gone, skid plate missing, clutch destroyed, etc). I just wanted to give you guys a chance before I throw it up on Ebay.

8volt battery problem

I have 6, 8v t875's. Two years old, well maintained no visible sulfation.

Normally I get 20 plus miles with a 3 to 4 volt drop riding, I can see this on the run with an xray volt meter. I have done voltage checks under load and checked with a hydrometer. Tonight went 10 miles at the end of run after, 5 batteries read, 8.2, one 7.4 which is 30%. I think I have one bad battery. Voltage drops since this started 4 weeks ago is 5 to 7 volts after 5 or so miles.

I plan to have them load tested by a pro next week. Any all opinions out there are appreciated. Hope Johnnie B. sees this. Thank's.

I have a 93 par car that I took in for new batteries and the guy switched the 6 6v batteries to (3) 12v batteries claiming 36v was 36v. It ran for about 10 minutes then stopped and had never run again... I took it back to him and he claims that this piece is not working (photos). The battery charger won’t even come on to charge it, and it was tested and appears to be working fine. He has had the cart for 1 year and claims to not be able to find this part, I’m not even sure that’s what’s wrong with it as this guy is not a golf cart guy.

Can anyone tell me where to even start with this? I’m assuming, and being told that he was totally wrong putting the 12v in there and I don’t have any Par Car dealer within 200 miles of me. Any help would be appreciate, I have to pick this cart up on Monday and I’d sure like to get it going again

Are all the keys the same? I can pretty much put my key into any ezgo and it will turn. That’s a problem for folks like me in a community of golf carts.

I gotta go get chains and get all ghetto and chain it to a tree now!!
